From the start, Anneke Van Waesberghe’s vision has been to redefine luxury—not just as opulence but as a way to experience nature with elegance and purpose. This philosophy drove Escape Nomade to design Tents that blend beauty, comfort, and sustainability through her concept, Haute Couture architecture.
Then, twelve years ago, Ueli Wick walked into Escape Nomade, drawn by its immense potential. He began expanding production capacity and attracting clients who saw the Tents as the heart of their hospitality vision. In 2014, with just 14 employees in Banyuwangi producing five Tents for domestic clients, Tyas Wahyudi started to drive the growth journey. By 2015, Escape Nomade had grown to 50 employees, and today, its 9,000 sqm production site houses 250+ skilled craftsmen, expanding beyond Tents to interiors and custom designs.
Escape Nomade’s team is full of passionate individuals from around the world, united by a love for creating ‘something different.’ As of 2025, the company stands strong and creative, with 300+ employees and 350+ projects completed across 55+ countries. Its flagship site in Bali and production hub in Java stand as testaments to the brand’s growth and innovation.

Our Luxury Tented Villas are semi-permanent and heavy duty, built on a dense metal framework and durable eco-friendly foundation. The exterior and interior are designed to stand firm timelessly globally in all types of climates. The structure is expected to last 25+ years since the first installation and the parts can be easily replaced according to each maintenance schedule.
We are not a tent broker, but a Tent Supplier+ who designs and manufactures Luxury Tented Villas and interior lines in-house. Our operations are based in Indonesia: our administrative, sales, and design teams in Bali and our production and maintenance teams in Banyuwangi. We also assist our clients in every single step, from an initial consultation until the installation and maintenance.
Our Luxury Tented Villas are present in various types of projects around the world as private residences, luxury getaway resorts, exclusive spas, soothing yoga shalas, back-in-time restaurants, eco-conscious schools, and more. Having completed 350+ projects in 55+ countries in all types of complicated weather, we are a well-rounded leader in the glamping industry.

Today we are a strong 250+ member team, with Bali housing our head office and the flagship showsite, and Java housing our production site. We now have completed hundreds of Tents standing strong in 53+ countries (as of 2024).
